Peter Makedonski is a professional trumpeter with a Master"s degree in "Trumpet" from the National music academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov", Sofia.
Since season 2013/ 2014 the young Bulgarian musician has been a soloist- trumpeter at the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, chief-conductor Rossen Gergov. For six seasons he has been developing his professional activities as a trumpeter at the National opera and ballet, Sofia as well as at the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a soloist Petar Makedonski has participated at the International festival “Sofia music weeks”. He has performed in Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Korea, Turkey etc. His repertoire includes opera and ballet, classic and contemporary pieces. Accompanied by an orchestra he has performed concerts for trumpet by Telemann, Vivaldi, Torelli, Haydn, Neruda, Aratunian, Kazandzhiev etc.
The young musician, born 1988 in Sofia, is a winner of number of competitions in his discipline:
- The national competition for singers and instrumentalists “Svetoslav Obretenov” – Provadia, Bulgaria;
- "Young musical talents" – Sofia, Bulgaria;
- "German and Austrian music" – Varna, Bulgaria;
- "Ohrid's perls" – Republic of Macedonia;
Petar Makedonski received "Diploma" by the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Bulgaria for excellent performances in art & music. He is a winner of "Diploma" by the Union of the Bulgarian composers for "Best performance of Bulgarian composer".
